Dulcosoft contains the active ingredient Macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative. Macrogol 4000 has a high capacity to bind water - it acts by retaining liquids (water) and delaying water absorption in the intestine, leading to an increase in the amount of water in the colon. This softens hard and dry stools and increases fecal volume. This results in an increased intestinal movement and facilitates defecation, providing a natural feeling of relief, with effects seen between 24 to 72 hours.
